Indonesia bird flu toll 'hits 44'
A sixteen year old boy and girl have been added to the list of deaths from bird flu in Indonesia raising the country's toll to the highest for any nation: 44 deaths. Indonesian officials are largely unwilling or unable to initiate a widespread cull of sick poultry lacking the funds to compensate farmers.
